Description of AstroFire

A great update of classic Asteroids game, this incarnation sports colorful VGA graphics, smooth mouse-based controls, and lots of weird-looking asteroids and other enemies to shoot at.

For those who don't know Asteroids, it's a mindless shoot-em-up game at its best :) If you like the game, also check out Disasteroids 3D reviewed on this site.

@PSYCHOFOX - Your comment is the exact reason why I, and so many other people, are collectors. It's all about the memories and nostalgia.

I was 17, and my dad game this game (on a floppy disk) as a Christmas present. I was a senior in high school back then so I really didnt much care for presents or find the need for presents like a kid does on Christmas. But for some reason, I thought it was a really sweet thing. It was a little thing that seemed to matter a lot. I played it, even though it was a simple game and I was more into playing Doom and Duke Nukem 3D. But something, made me play it. I didnt know what.

I kept the floppy, and played it from time to time. About a year and half later my dad died. So every time I looked at that floppy and that game, it made me think of him and that Christmas.

20 years later. I still have that floppy disk on my desk. And it still makes me think of him and that Christmas.

Why would they put thank you as an option? That's fucking stupid, 2/10.
