Nobunaga's Ambition II - Play Online
DOS - 1989
For small DOS games like Nobunaga's Ambition II, you can play online immediately with your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer...). This feature is still experimental, the game may not work properly. Warning: game save should work, but you should try it early! Also, be careful to select the right game executable in the list below.
Emulator configuration
You have to choose the right game executable, then press PLAY.
To exit fullscreen mode, press escape. Playing experience can be poor due to your browser or your computer. Download Nobunaga's Ambition II and launch it with DOSBox to have the best playing experience!
If the game is too fast or too slow, try hitting CTRL-F11 (slower) and CTRL-F12 (faster).

use main.exe to open to screen where it asks which war you want, choose 1 for the long version and build from scratch. choose 2 to play the shorter version where most of the fiefs (Daimyo's?) have been conquered.
Next screen will open to which character you want to be. Answer questions. After selecting character and player name if you change the character name, select (hit enter) as random # generator determines what level of politics, war, ambition, and character you will have. IF you think scores are too low choose no and reset character attributes. click yes when ok, and set level 1 for easy play. Level 5 is hardest, throws typhoons, assassins, plagues, bad harvests, and fief uprisings, as well as your own men may either leave to another Daimyo or simply revolt against you.
NEVER let your Daimyo or fief leader body points get below 40. You can be invaded and automatically lose the fief and or be killed.
To train your warriors in politics or war takes 90 body points. Also the Daimyo or fief leader must have higher skills than the warriors you are skill upgrading.
To train warriors for battle use 8, 3 in command codes. This will upgrade the training skills. max points for upgrade sl=kills is 12, minimum is about 4, and all require about 50 body points to train. Again don't let Daimyo get below 40 body points.
To go to war command set 8, 4, choose neighboring fief # to invade, select warrior to go.
To buy more troops use command 8, 1,. Note this will decrease fief morale.
KNow which are the weak daimyos, you can threaten them command 6, 3 BUT REQuiRES 130 body points
Develop town and fields using money and highest political rated warrior to get best development.

Hey all,
I remember a similar game to this where the archers were super important. I swore for a couple of decades it was this game, but obviously I am misunderrembering. It's not Romance either. It's an early mgmt turn based game and I think maybe though the battles where real time, like age of empires or warcraft. Anybody got any ideas I can sleuth?

Figured it out, if your Daimyo or Governor's body points are too low your army is considered unprepared and will be overrun without a battle.

Every time someone attacks me it say my armies are unprepared and I die. How do I prepare my armies? I train them. ??

This game works, but placement of troops can be a problem for war.This game runs well, except for that issue that can be fixed with Abandonware's help.Great game.
