If you want this game to play properly, you need to find an old, working 386 or maybe 486 PC to be dedicated to it.
Graphics will still be painfully slow, but we now have phones and tablets to fill in.
In my opinion, it is the best breakout game out there, and should be revamped for Google Play.

I remember playing this game in the late 80s/early 90s. Also at that time the game had a speed issue. Gameplay happened at a comfortable speed, but the animations were painfully slow. Me and my friends used to turn on the game, and the we went out to play, perhaps for half an hour. Then we came back to play, and sometimes we had to go out and play some more.

It was horrible when someone died or when we completed a level, because then it took so long time to reload or load the next level.

Still we played the game! Why? Because the game was fun, and besides - what options did we have? Hangman and some other games or non computer options.

What's weird with playing online is the intro animations were a little on the slow side but okay, then the ball was LIGHTNING fast! Too fast to play! I pressed Ctrl-F11 a few times and the game became playable, but then all the animation (like deaths and rolling out a new paddle) were PAINFULLY slow. I remember the animations being much faster when the game was a playable speed.

I played this game a lot when I was a kid. I tried this webversion now, but the game goes way too fast ,while the intro and the animations are too slow.
