Description of Spectre
A fun frag-fest that pays homage to the arcade classic Battlezone, Spectre is a fun multiplayer 3D tank game that features a great capture-the-flag mode, cool futuristic graphics, and intuitive interface.
Although the computer AI is capable, the game is very addictive in multiplayer mode. Spectre VR updates the original Spectre 2 years later with better graphics and more tank types to choose from.

I remember playing this on my Grandad's Mac when my sister and I visited on school breaks (early 90s). We'd fight who got to play first, longest, and who had the highest score.

...The Mac version was a big deal when it first came out, because it was - supposedly - the first game for the Macs that would work over (cr)Appletalk or one of those proprietary network flags that ol' Blow Jobs raised and only his sycophants saluted. Not a bad game, just not as good as it could have been.
