Osiris Rules

I have been playing Osiris since about 1995 on my "found" copy (with protection), the same copy that's provided here.

Osiris is a game for 3 players (usually 1 human, 2 computer players, but that is switchable) on a triangual board with triangular pieces.

Object of the game is to bring your pieces to the board center and from that into game heaven. If you're in turn, you may move a piece from 1 to 4 steps. Every piece has only a limited number of steps which can be displayed if you point to the piece with your mouse. This works for enemy pieces alike which is helpful in order to check if an enemy piece can reach an own undefended piece.

If the step counter of a piece runs out, it's transformed into a diamond.

You may catch and destroy enemy pieces if your pieces touch two edges of the enemy piece (+5 points for every destroyed enemy piece).

You may destroy a diamond (no matter if was a foreign or enemy piece) when you enclose it with 3 own pieces (+ 20 points).

If a piece reaches the board center, it stays there for 3 rounds. The respective player cannot move during these 3 rounds, so it's wise a player positions their pieces in a way that they cannot be caught while the player cannot move them.

On the end of the third round the piece vanishes into "game heaven" (+10,+10,+20 points). Every round a piece stays in the board center, counts up the step counters of all remaining pieces.

On completing a level, Osiris gives you the password that opens the next layer. You may select higher levels from the main menu.

This -- unregistered -- copy only works for a single level. Any second level will stop with the message "copy protection". So, if you want to play higher levels, you have to restart the game and select the higher levels via the main menu.

Passwords (as far as I have played the game):
Ben
Hippo
Camel
Sahara
Guards
Triangle
Sausage
Around
Pixlers
Incredible
Tristar
Ahmose
Arena
Moshee
Blockade
Oase
Kairo
...

Have fun!

Unique game. It would be nice if there were some rules included, as it is hard to understand how to play. But in tinkering, it is quit challenging, similar to Chinese checkers.
