Description of Task Force 1942

If you haven't play Task Force 1942 already, go ahead and download it now! Published in 1992 by MicroProse Software, Inc., Task Force 1942 features action, strategy, simulation in a historical battle (specific/exact), naval, real-time genre.

World War II simulation were very popular in the 80s and 90s. In Task Force 1942, you can take control of many different ships that took part in the pacific navy battles. American, Australian and New Zealand ships are in the game, as well as the Japanese ships. Many battle give you full control over the whole task force.

The game received some bad reviews but is seen by gamer as the precursor of 3D ship battle simulations.

I have this game installed and playing it now on DOS Box 0.73, It has it all, from a run the whole war in the pacific down to fire the Main Guns from the finder! I love this game (not a hard core sim tho)

Not the best of the naval strategic game but good battles are playable here, including the battle of Empress Augusta Bay or the battle of Vella Lavella...
