Description of Transworld
A game from Germany, from Starbyte, from 1990. What could it be? Yes! You're right, another management simulation... of course yawn - although puzzle game could have been another good option to think of.
This time in Transworld, you are put into the position to manage a forwarding business. Actually, quite nice, well laid out and one of the more entertaining games of its genre, although the scope is quite limiting and long-term playability is much lower than classics of the genre (e.g. Transport Tycoon).

Played the game in its day. This download contains both the graphical interface version and the 'mono' version, which is a text based version. My friend and I spent an entire summer in hot-seat games (literally, because it was a hot summer) and with the text-only version, to cut-down on the long loading times. We'd fantasize about driving those big rigs ourselves, all across Europe. If I recall, picking up cars in Moscow and bringing them back was the most profitable gambit. Anyway, I have fond memories of the game, rekindled recently by playing Euro Truck Simulator 2. I guess you'd have to have been there, in the early nineties, to appreciate this game. Everyone else take a look at ETS2 instead. Happy gaming!
