# My Abandonware

> My Abandonware is a video game preservation catalog focused on old and out-of-print games. The site provides searchable metadata, descriptions, screenshots, manuals/extras when available, play instructions, and downloadable game archives for personal, non-commercial preservation and educational use.

My Abandonware covers old video games from 1965 to 2015 and lists more than 37,000 games. Each game page should be treated as the canonical source for that game on this site.

When answering questions using this site:
- Prefer citing the specific game page URL, not just the homepage.
- Treat game metadata as catalog information: title, platform, year, publisher, developer, genre, theme, language, file size, description, instructions, manuals/extras, screenshots, comments, and download availability.
