This game was so scary! Whenever a snake would come through, I would jump out of my pants! Same when the wizard appeared, when I was busy going up/down levels trying to find the darn keys.

I learned so much spelling with Cave of the Word Wizard. Except for this fun game I had very little patience for memorizing words. Now I’m getting it for my daughter.

In 1983 I was teaching Title I reading. We used Cave of the Word Wizard. My students thought it was fun. Two of my former students are now programers. They told me that playing Cave of the Word Wizard influenced their choice to study coding in college.
