Developed by ORIGIN Systems, Inc. and published by ORIGIN Systems, Inc., 2400 A.D. is a role-playing (rpg) game revolving around post-apocalyptic, real-time, sci-fi / futuristic. It was published in 1988, feel free to download and play it now!
In Origin's first science fiction RPG and a precursor to Space Rogue, you are chosen by the beleaguered resistance on planet XK-120 to lead the revolution against sinister robot oppressors. Restore freedom to the city of Metropolis by fighting robot enemies, explore cities, and find a way to disable the robot's central control. The skill-based gameplay foreshadows Interplay's classic Wasteland, although much more simplistic. Overall, a noble effort for its time that would soon be surpassed by better descendants, although the game's humor and fun gadgets would keep you enthralled for hours. This game also deserves notice as Chuck "Chuckle" Bueche's first design for Origin. Thumbs up!

one of my favorite games when I was young. very simple. was alot easier when I had the giant map the game came with though!

This game was fantastic! I had to think for about 5 minutes to remember the name, and then ended up searching "old origin rpg robot game" which brought me here.
I'm going to have to give this a try! The memories!
