DOS - 1995
For small DOS games like High Seas Trader, you can play online immediately with your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer...). Also, be careful to select the right game executable in the list below.

Found a workaround: Launch setup.exe, select no sound, launch hst.exe -p, and it's working fine. Without sound, of course, but completely stable.

Genuinely doesn't work. hst.exe launches the game alright but once you're in you can't even leave port, enter the tavern or do anything. Sad really, it used to be a flawed but for limited periods rather enjoyable experience.

Game now works perfectly online if you choose the filename "High Seas Trader/HST.EXE" in the list above. Thanks to the MyAbandonware guys for sorting this out.

The game keeps freezing up whenever I reach the naming screen. (Note: This is when it's in the browser, not the DOSbox.)
