Finished the first part yesterday. Wow. If feels great to relive the great game old dos teenager days. Computers had no social role back than, and your digital activities were not followed by PRISM kgb agents. If you like to have this 90's free feeling again while playing the game, download and run it on a linux system.
Use dosbox, which can be installed in unix:
(#sudo apt-get install dosbox).

Have Fun!

mranderson: You can bypass the copy protection by typing in 555-0724(Al Lowe's birthday) This will also bypass the intro sequence and enable debug mode if you type debug into the text-box

My favorite of the text based Leisure Suit Larry games, this game was an attempt to clean up Larry's act by adding a real storyline and plot, instead of the get laid before midnight plot of Larry 1. Al Lowe comments that they did this because certain retailers would not sell Larry 1 because it was "Too dirty", and that the same retailers complained that this one was "Too clean" I really don't see that much difference, because Al's classic dirty humor is still in full force in this one, even if the plot is relatively clean. Not only that, but there is actually more nudity (Albeit mild and pixelated) in this one, while Larry One usually showed some kind of humorous censorship. (Barrels, boxes marked censored which moved up and down, etc.) This one will always be my favorite of the first three, because it was the first Larry I ever played.

Ah memories. If you haven't heard of this classic, you must have just crawled out from under a rock. Long Live Larry Laffer!
