Description of Su-27 Flanker
Su-27 Flanker is a very accurate and detailed flight simulation of the Russian Su-27, developed by Eagle Dynamics, a Russian team, and SSI.
It doesn't have flashy textured graphics, which were standard even back then, but actually the "clean" and sharp graphics with detailed animated objects do a great job in portraying the game world. And they are smooth even on a low 486. Su-27 Flanker comes with a powerful mission builder/planner and many preset missions, but sadly lacks any campaigns or pilot career options. It's all about the flying experience, mission planning and building.
It's a great game with many nice details, that show the love and labour that has gone into this game. For example, the reaction times for the controls (gears etc...) are not instant as seen in most games, but are just exactly the way they are in the real Su-27. Like it or not. Supports local networks for multi-player missions.
Overall, an excellent game up in the ranks with Tornado or Falcon 3.0. However, you might be disappointed if you're expecting something more in the tradition of Microprose's way of doing the job. Two thumbs up, way up!

@ROB: when mounting your cdrom specify type as cdrom, i.e. once you are in dosbox execute:
mount d /path/to/cdrom/ -t cdrom
this will mount your cdrom as a cdrom drive with letter d

Where do I find a NOCD crack for this? I actually have the original boxed DOS version and it starts in dosbox but quits for not finding the CD

The "ISO" downloads are not the ISO images but the constituent files but there is no mention of how to run these as none of them are executable. Presumably they need to be re-assembled into an ISO - why not mention this with hints as to how to do it?

So is all the ISOs corrupted on this site. I've downloaded like 3 different games and it says ISO is corrupted.

I'm a flight simulator games enthusiast but I play game for occasional purpose only. I had ever tried to download this one when it was released in the middle of 90's. Later on I switched to EF2000, iF-16 and F-16 MRF. Yesterday I downloaded this game from here and I'm really surprised on its very low graphic quality that compared to Falcon 4.0 the one that I get used to playing with but with SU-27 sophisticated control (nearly realistic) it is tough enough to learn to fly with it. It seems that the publisher wouldn't presented the flashy scenery or realistic animated terrain instead of its controlling system.
