Uncharted Waters is the most un-KOEI game ever made by KOEI, perhaps because it is the only series not designed by Kou Shibusawa, the prolific founder of KOEI. Based on the high-seas adventure period in 17th century Europe, you are an honest merchant trying to amass fortune while coping with pirates and fickle mayors. In Uncharted Waters 2 you can choose to play as one of the characters, each with different goals and purposes. This makes the game highly replayable and adds refreshing RPG and adventure elements to the strategic game. If you love Sid Meier's classic Pirates! but want something a little different, this is the game for you. Two thumbs up!

I have problems with personal combat. It jumps back to DOS and it says the following:

FreeCOM: XMSSwap-In: Memory allocation error
Memory allocation error
Cannot load COMMAND, system halted

Please help!

A great installment in the Uncharted Waters series and sadly the last to be seen in North America. This game offers a great deal of swashbuckling, merchanting, and piracy. The player is allowed to select his or her own style of play, though certain characters are more suited to certain activities.

The Super Nintendo version of this game was vastly superior to the PC version in every respect. Down this game as a SNES rom. Play this version only if you feel like comparing the two.
