In the depths of enemy territory, with the Vietcong lurking everywhere, young American soldiers are fighting to stay alive. What once started out as a glorious rescue mission from the evilness of communism has now changed into a raw fight for survival in the treacherous jungles of Vietnam.
As a pilot on a Huey transport and rescue helicopter, your most important mission is to seek out the lost and the wounded, and to bring them back to safety and care. The casualties of war may seem endless, but you can make a difference! Are you ready to see some action!?!
'Vietnam Med Evac' takes place during the Vietnam conflict from 1961 to 1975 and follows a historically based time-line, linking the missions together.

I love this game so much. Now I'm playing DCS with the UH-1H DLC, but this was the game that made me fall in love with flying helicopters. The sense of accomplishment I felt when I started being able to control the helicopter (especially when it comes to landing at some of the tighter landing spots) is something I haven't really felt matched since.

Have SEARCH & RESCUE 4 on cdrom so thought I'd try this. Got it runing up to main menu able to select joystick or keyboard alter graphics options etc but when i select mission. Or single missions the game crashes to desktop I'm useing a nocd. Patch. Have uninstalled the game now.will try burning it to disc at some point see what happens. Have had a lot of luck running the games on this fantastic web site on the win xp pc (best for running old windows games) relived lots of old memorys from the 80s and 90s.thanks to all concerned.some games just need a bit more fiddling about to get going ho hum!
