Description of Gunship 2000
Download Gunship 2000 (also known as Gunship 2000: The Multi-Helicopter Gunship Simulation, Gunship 2000: The All-New Multi-Helicopter Combat Simulation, Gunship 2000: Mehrere Kampfhubschrauber im Gefecht - Eine völlig neue Simulation, GS2000) for free now. Published in 1991 by MicroProse Software, Inc., enjoy a simulation game with flight, helicopter theme!
After the first Gunship, Microprose made a 2000 version with better graphics, deeper story and more gameplay possibilities. In Gunship 2K, you take control of an helicopter and have to fulfill war mission across the world.
Several different gunship are available, including the famous Commanche, and the player have to select for each mission, after the briefing, the weaponry he wants to use. Fuel management is also a part of the game and lifting off with full weapons was often impossible.
As the game and the player's rank progress, the mission are not made alone anymore, some friendly helicopter are under your order to complete the objectives.
Micropose was unable to made a serie out Gunship, the sequel release in 2000 was not good. The fans turned to Jane's Longbow as it was close in spirit to the original Gunship games.

If you avoid the briefing folder it will play, but it will hang up if you check the briefing for each mission.

Fantastic game. its a bit of a drag until you get your own squadron, but then the game really kicks in.
