If the game does not boot, it's likely due to a bug where Shockwave 3D does not like how the drivers are listed in the Windows Registry. Head over to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{random long hex value}\0000 and edit the entry named InstalledDisplayDrivers. For every entry that has a whole file path, remove the file paths and only keep the file names without extensions, placing commas in between for multiple entries (no spaces), even if they have the same name. [EX: nvldumdx,nvldumdx,nvldumdx.] Restart, and hopefully the game should start up now.
Remember to back up your Registry! Tested only on Nvidia cards.

One of my childhood favorites and the first time I was able to get a perfect game. Funnily enough, I was just looking for this game here yesterday, cuz it randomly popped up in my head, and now it's here. How convinient!
