cdiemu works ok but isnt the best solution for cdi anymore. retroarch is decent but freezes on a lot of "non mainstream" games. (like thats really a thing with cdi)
MAME surprisingly works very well now.
convert game.bin to .chd google guide and tool.
make sure you have cdimon1.zip in the mame roms folder as well as the converted game.
run mame. select cdi. choose to run empty. let start. press tab. select choose file. choose game.chd then choose reset system. when cdi boot screen starts. choose run cdi. the game will now play. I also suggest changing controls from mouse to gamepad/keyboard. This applies to any cdi game that you want to run in mame.
