English patch won't install on Windows 10

There used to be another old patch of this game, that did not cause problems with the game (crashing after the first room). On win11 I only get the game to work crashless in laggy graphics, do to the "fix" in the setting menue. Or has anyone got this to work perfectly? If so, feel free to respond :)
