Description of DarkSpyre

Dreamforge's first game as Event Horizon is a solid overhead RPG that deftly combines real-time action and physical puzzles (e.g. traps, switches) with traditional RPG gaming.

The plot which involves arcane artifacts and the usual big-foozle-out-to-destroy-the-world setting, starts out cliche (you are chosen to enter DarkSpyre, an evil stronghold) and quickly picks up the pace. It's a good game, with innovative story-based character creation system that would become Dreamforge's hallmark in subsequent RPGs.

When I was young, I played most games on the 8088 XT monochrome computer.
There were a few games that I couldn't clear, and this game was one of them.
This game's movements were frustrating and the interface was unfriendly.
There were many restrictions on the realistic system that were unnecessary for such a topic, and the difficulty level of the puzzles was high.
It was a game that caused great stress, so I turned my attention to other games.
With nothing more to clear, I grabbed hold of this and started digging into it, and ended up experiencing tremendous hardship. In particular, the puzzles were vicious enough to destroy gamers' motivation.
I spent a lot of time and was able to progress almost to the second half, but...
It's not exact, but I remember reaching the end. I remember wearing the golden armor... but I don't think I completely cleared it.
Afterwards, I couldn't use the computer for personal reasons, so I didn't have a chance to do it again.
It's a game that stayed in my memory for as long as I went through a lot of hard work.
Honestly, I can't say it's fun. But if you enjoy a challenge, it might be a good idea to give it a try.

The game is slow, the controls awkward, pretty lame all in all.

Awesome game ! Brings me back to the great gaming days. I even talked to one of the developers around '96 or so, and he was rightly proud. A 2016 version would rock.
