I really liked this back on the Amiga. Absolutely fascinating versions of Chess/Chess like games.

This is just a fantastic program for anybody interested in the history of chess. This does not only contain 10 interesting variants of chess, but it also contains rather extensive online help functions going through the development of chess over the centuries in different parts of the world, with illustrattions, source references and hyperlinks to related parts of the documentation.
To this day I have never seen anything quite like this. There are programs today that can play numerous variants of chess, but I don't know anything else that connects them together and explains the evolution quite like this. Recommended for anybody interested in the history of chess, and/or anybody interested in playing any of the variants contained herein.
