I didn't know this was originally a DOS game because this was actually ported to the NES as part of a double Sesame Street Game Cartridge called "Sesame Street ABC".

That game was infamous because there is a video game comedy site called "I-Mockery" and they have a section dedicated to review NES ROM Hacks(ROM Hacking culture back then was extremely infamous for being very edgy, obscene, and offensive, often doing stuff like adding racist content or making character nude), one of the games they reviewed was an infamous Rule 34 ROM Hack of the NES Port called "Ernie and The Muppets Take It All Off", this lead to Sesame Workshop's legal team sending the website a DMCA letter threating legal action. Yes, Sesame Street was legit not happy at all. The site argued that "We didn't make this ROM hack and are only reviewing and distributing it". Thankfully, Sesame Street left them alone after the incident and it's still up to this day without any legal action.

So yeah, super interesting how Ernie's Big Splash was originally a DOS game ported to the NES. Glad I learned that today.
