DOS - 1986
Description of Infiltrator
Infiltrator 1 and 2 are faithful PC conversion of Commodore 64 action hits. As the title suggests, you are a soldier/spy ordered to infiltrate the enemy's compounds. Along the way you'll fight numerous enemy planes and ground defense systems.
Excellent graphics and gripping gameplay make up for the relatively short length of both games and paper-thin plots.

There was also an NES version of this made. Looked slightly better than the C64 version, and was actually easier to handle the controls.

I must correct myself. it was Infiltrator II I played on the C-64. In that game you can skip the helicopter flying which was hard as I remember. I have never played this first game.

I used to play the C-64 version as well. It was humorous. You could get drunk as I remember. But I downloaded this DOS version and I can not figure how to fly the chopper at the start. None of the keys seem to do anything but the return key, and it moves his right thumb. Do you need a joystick?

Best game ever on my Commodore 128 running in C64 mode. The only other game to stand up to it was its own sequel. Spent MUCH time playing the Infiltrator games, lots of fun.
