The game is loosely based on the Richard Donner film "Ladyhawke", in which, in medieval times, two lovers, Navarre (Rutger Hauer) and Isabeau (Michelle Pfeiffer) are cursed to tranform into animals so they can't be together. Navarre turns into a wolf during the night, while Isabeau turns into a during the day. A solar eclipse finally helps them break the curse.
In Sol Negro (Black Sun), with a futuristic setting, indomitable Monica turns into a hawk, while beefy "Bully" turns into a.... fish. They must reach the temple together before the Black Sun (eclipse) to be reunited.
