Notes:

To successfully run the game in DOSBox emulator, do the next steps: in the settings file set machine=svga_et4000, install the patch from .IMA Floppy image (use command Install C:), and in CITY2000\london.bat file enter in front of london the launch of tlivesa.com driver (before you need to copy that file from the disc from SETUP\VESA\TSENG folder to the folder with installed game)
You need to do these steps because the game appears inflexible regarding VESA mode parameters; if you try to run it directly from DOSBox without pre-configuring it, the in-game FMVs will look like this. That method was tested in DOSBox ECE and DOSBox Daum, it works fine, check this and this threads for details, also check this page (it's on Russian, use the translation machine)
There was a rumours that the game had sequel called C.I.T.Y. 2000: Paris and some copies were sent to a Canadian store with minimal packaging, but these rumours have not been confirmed. Check this page for more details
