EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus - Play Online

For small DOS games like EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus, you can play online immediately with your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer...). This feature is still experimental, the game may not work properly. Warning: game save should work, but you should try it early! Also, be careful to select the right game executable in the list below.
Emulator configuration
You can choose which game version you want to use, then you have to choose the right game executable and press PLAY.
To exit fullscreen mode, press escape. Playing experience can be poor due to your browser or your computer. Download EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus and launch it with DOSBox to have the best playing experience!
If the game is too fast or too slow, try hitting CTRL-F11 (slower) and CTRL-F12 (faster).

If you save right before you get to the metal box exit out and reopen it will not crash a second time at least it didn't got me. I hope this info helps.

Game crashes when you get the metal box, and i cant get it to work in the non browser version

When I am in the cave, and I am done removing the stones from the wall, and I am supposed to pick up something shiny, that is exactly when it crashes and it says "too many handles" or something. Is that something wrong with this file, or is it something wrong with me?
