Here is the video game “Felix the Cat”! Released in 2001 on Windows, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's an action game, set in an arcade, licensed title and mini-games themes.
Pac-man "clone" with famous cartoon character Felix the Cat, you can also play as Felix's nephew Inky
How to play Felix the Cat Windows
The game is really hard to run, DxWnd's admin sent us the last screenshot with proper colors:
I was trying to manage "Felix the Cat" with DxWnd, since the game is almost unplayable on any recent platform.
In particular, the intro panels are ok, but the gameplay screens are terribly slow and poorly rendered, probably because the game is using some mysterious trick to bring the sprites to video.
In any case, trying to figure the real screen aspect, we got this screenshot from an emulated Win98 computer. You can see that colors and transparencies are fine here. I hope we will be able to get the same results also on modern systems.
Last screenshot credits goes to Huh. The dev of DxWnd has managed to run the game properly and contributed the fixed RIP, many thanks to gho and Huh.
