How to play Flight Assignment: Airline Transport Pilot
This abandonware has to be installed first. Launch INSTALL.EXE and follow instructions. You will have a new folder, called ATP, with the file installed and the game playable.

@oldgamedigger, keep the game in folder "ATP" under your dosbox "C" drive folder. In the file config.atp you must specify the location for both the SMS and scenery system like this (and make sure the files are there): SCENERY=c:\atp\scenery

This was one of the BEST flight sims! I loved this thing! I was going to try the more realistic Flight Sim called “747” came out later (mid 1990s?) It was to be an extremely accurate in cockpit configuration / sequence requirements. I instead got talked into Microsoft Flightsim 2000.
I hated it. It ended my interest in Flight Sim. Now 2022 and I am reinstalling ATP!
I have looked for that 747 “Cockpit” Flight simulator to no avail.
Does anyone know if such a simulator really existed or if it is available?

Just found the download for this classic sim. The career pilot was and still is better than anything out there despite the dated graphics. Would love to get the jet route charts if someone has them!
