Note, this game was sort of entertaining, but it required, and still does, connection to the US Navy server which tracked the stats for the game. This server is long since gone. So, unless someone has discovered a way to bypass the "server login" step, this game simply cannot be run today.

If someone DOES know how to make it work, on its own, please post that here (and elsewhere, as well!) so that those who are interested can run it without connecting to the now-defunct Navy server.

The basic plot of this game was pretty straightforward... you're controlling an ROV ("remotely operated vehicle") in an attempt to recover a lost, and very important, US Navy item, from a deep trench environment. It's not a "shooter" per-se, though you do have a weapon... sort of... more like a shock-prod if memory serves, able to drive away aggressive ocean life. But the main thing is to explore, navigate, and find the lost item, tag it, and recover it, all using this virtual "ROV."

It was fun. Not "AAA game" level fun, but reasonably entertaining. And when you'd encounter what, to the ROV, were HUGE (and toothy) undersea lifeforms, it could be a bit jarring!

I'd actually love to be able to run it again, so... if anyone knows how to get past that "phone home and log in" "feature," please, by all means, share!
