Description of Soko-Ban
Soko-ban is the first puzzle game I played on the PC, and it remains to this day one of the most difficult. The objective is simple: move crates to create a path to the exit. But like other classic puzzle games, it is easy to learn yet hard to master.
I actually never did finish the game-- the last few levels were very difficult in that you cannot afford even one false move: empty spaces are few, and the order of moving crates must be planned 20-30 steps in advance. Recommended for all puzzle fans.

The year on this game is wrong. On the title screen you can see that it's registered in 1984, not 1987 as is claimed by this listing....

I had this game when I had an old 8088. I enjoyed playing it but now I'm finding it very challenging (especially level 11 where I'm stuck) . Fun old game.

Does this game have two color modes(purple mode & red mode)? Anyone knows how to change the color mode?~

Just hit enter to make Jack enter the building;
hit enter to get in front of the elevator
hit the numbers to the level you want
hit A to accept
later, hit L to leave
there is no reset key: you have to hit Esc then hit the level numbers again.

I remember it as one my first ever Computer games. But now when I try to Play i don't manage to use the Elevator to get to the Levels. How does it work?

Yep, finally found it, the first ever game played on our DOS computer; our first home pc. Dad and I had great fun trying to solve the puzzles.

I remember my grandfather and I playing the DOS version of this when I was a kid. I've missed this game so much. So much fun and intense puzzle solving challanges. Can't wait to play this again!!
