Description of The Incredible Machine

Undoubtedly one of the most unique games ever produced for the PC, The Incredible Machines 1 is a dream come true for anyone who as a child likes to tinker with gadgets and toys.

It is a puzzle game par excellence and beyond: you have to use wacky gadgets and tools given for each level to accomplish objectives. Puzzles start out relaxing and get fiendish very quickly, as later levels require not only ingenuity but also precise timing. A true classic.

I played this as a child decades ago. Now I am old enough to fully play through it. Thanks so much! One of the best DOS games!

I have 2 c-64's, one doesn't work, not sure which one... I've been away from them for about 30 - 35 years.... I just purchased A sd2iec with fastloader, Epyx, I believe. They will be here in a few days. I've got 2 ea. 20" monitors sitting here that will accept HDMI input & recently I've bought a Commodore to HDMI cable so while I will have to use one of the old power bricks that came with my machines a long time ago, I think I'll be able to get up & running. I also have 2 ea. 1541 disk drives but I really want to go with the SD2iec. So, while I've not used D64 files as yet, I'm really wanting to try them if I can find them to download.

Horrible game! Just horrible! The crews have no life!!! I say you must remove this game from website!

Thomas Rufas 2022-10-16 -21 points

This game is best enjoyed from a barn shed with 60 degrees fahrenheit of compressed pixel art. It can be done and fear not i hear you say. We all came from the land of Beagal. It worked out with 6 chips each time on a bad day, let alone a fifth sector workhorse with seven digits on triple core processes, we can achieve it relatively easily with a scaled back keyboard and mouse. Thankyou all from Wicklebarn

This game is wack, i could be blind fold, armless, druged out of my mind and earless, and make a better game!!!!!

Massacher 2022-03-27 -16 points DOS version

Is there a ported version of this for Windows 10? So I don't have to use DOSBox? Because the window is so small and fullscreen doesn't work. I just get a black screen.

Hiya. Does this game run on Linux? I had many older games that i tried running on faster processors that I used before and they like, this one game you fly this small racer yet and you go like 10kmphr and there it went like uber and you hit goal in 1sec lol

to get dosbox to run you haftto type "mount c c:\{the directory of the file} press enter then type c:\ enter and type the file application name not dir it just gives you info about the virtual drive you mounted

DosGod 2017-08-15 0 point

Type "Dir" to view the files available. One of the files ending in .EXE or .COM or .BAT will start the game. It is not necessary to type the extension of the file. For example: INDY.EXE would become "indy" and then you press enter to start the game. Check for README or SETUP as well, if you are having trouble. Files ending in .TXT can be opened in windows easily, or through dosbox with "TYPE README.TXT" or whatever your file is called. In this case, you do need the extension ".TXT" just typing "type readme" wouldn't work if the full file name is "readme.txt"

Will this run on windows 10?

KAT 2017-02-13 0 point

i'm using dosbox, and this game runs without flaws.
brilliant :)

Moonyman213 2016-10-06 0 point

For those running NT-based systems like Vista or 7, DOSBox works like a charm!
You only have to find the way around to running the install file of T.I.M.

Random 2016-07-23 1 point

I completely forgot I played this as a kid. Quite a nice nostalgic surprise.
