How to play Swarog Windows

The game has interesting story of releases - originally it was developed by Russian team Alawar Entertainment and released in Russia on Russian language as "Сварог", then the game had Eastern release on English language with title "Swarog", and then that Eastern release was translated to Russian by Media-Service 2000 and released in Russia again, this time by title "Сварог. Языческие войны" (Swarog. Pagan Wars).

Original Russian release and English version showed 0 warnings on VirusTotal. Second Russian release shows some false positive warnings on VirusTotal, because of obsolete executable file. It is official Russian license, so it should be safe to use. Still, if you want to play it - use Virtual Machine with Windows XP, for 100% safety.

Notes:

At launch you will probably see error about Indeo 5.x codec - simply click "OK" and the game will start working. Indeo is an old video codec for in-game videos, the game intro works through it. By default Indeo codec is disabled in new Windows systems, you can enable it if you want, read this thread. Intro video itself is available here.
Bypass for defects in the color rendering of the game: on the desktop, right-click and select "Screen Resolution". Leave the window open and start the game.
