At the moment, you can run the game - in addition to a suitable old PC - exclusively in DOSBox build SVN, released no earlier than 02/04/2019 (version r4187 and later), as well as in DOSBox-X builds that take into account its fixes (version 0.82.20 and later ), DOSBox Staging (guaranteed to work on version 0.80.1) or DOSBox ECE (guaranteed to work on version r4168), and only with “machine=cga” in the settings (and, of course, the “boot” command). It is recommended to set the number of cycles around 300.
