This game is pretty good for a Movie Licensed Title. Then again there is a reason for that: This game is a sameless copy of Turrican. Everything: The standing multidirection shooting, the powerup, the spinning blade morph. Pretty sure Van Damme didn't transform in that in the movie, nor he shooted so many robots/drones/mutants.
So yeah. Is a good game because is a copy of a game Accolade published in the Mega Drive/Genesis which they gave the code to another lesser developer to make a Licensed Game. Note that Turrican II wasn't published in the Mega Drive/Genesis, and Mega Turrican was published by Data East. Conclusion: publisher drama.
Truly, Accolade published some good stuff, but their methods were worse than Bubsy 3D.
