Description of Warsong
Warsong (aka Lungrisser, ラングリッサー・光輝の末裔, Langrisser) is a video game published in 1991 on Genesis by Masaya, American Treco Corporation. It's a role-playing (rpg) and strategy game, set in an anime / manga, fantasy, turn-based and regional differences themes, and was also released on TurboGrafx CD.

If you never played Warsong, then you either missed one of best chunks of old school gaming because you're too young, or you were too busy being a snotty jock

One of my favorite RPG's of all time. I have beaten the game about 20 different ways. I went as far as playing with the minimum of only 4 main characters, instead of 8. I cannot recommend this game enough. It is like advanced chess.
