How to play Wolfgang Hohlbein's The Inquisitor Windows
The game has been tested on Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 10, it works fine. You may experience some small troubles when you play the game on modern systems, check our Notes for details
Notes:
- If the game doesn't work - run it in Compatibility mode with old Windows (like Windows XP) and as Administrator. Also, it is recommended to install all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and NET Framework for the correct work of the game
- The game is using the Adobe Flash engine. If the game doesn't launch, install Flash Player Active X, the installer is available inside in the game folder. If the game doesn't work even if you have installed Adobe Flash Player - try to install Macromedia Flash 8 from here, or another version of Adobe Flash from the mega archive with all versions of Flash Player
- If you have any graphical issues, such as flickering screen or disappearing mouse cursor - switch the game to Windowed mode in settings
- Some players have complained that the game doesn't save the progress. To fix it, ALWAYS run the game as administrator: right-click on Inquisitor.exe and select "Run as administrator". Also, the game creates a save file in the
AppDatafolder, so the progress may not save if your system username contains non-English sumbols. In that case, create a new user profile with only English letters in the username and play the game under this new profile. Additionally, copy the game folder toC:/drive and ensure that the path to the game folder contains only the English letters - The game had the official Russian release but there was also an unofficial translation by Lerko. We uploaded both variants because the unofficial translation has slightly different text and fonts, check this and this threads for example screenshots, to see which variant you like more
