The beginning of this starts off brutally. Several sets of poison worms, no flasks for healing potions, and a bunch of dragons behind hidden walls. You have to find the 4 pieces of the corbum - the original map wasn't the most helpful.

It was conceived as an add-on at first, but then expanded with updates on the engine.
Chaos Strikes Back can be played without Dungeon Master, even if importing an advanced party is a possibility (note than every equipment is lost, you are stark naked at the start of the game...)
To play, you either enter the Prison (first disk) and choose up to 4 characters from the mirrors (two mirrors are hidden - choosing one of these two characters locks access two the other one), then save, or have a DM savegame.
Then you use the second disk, and the make new adventure function to import a DM savegame or the Prison savegame. You can edit the characters portraits too, new portraits are proposed for DM characters.
That done, you can use the first game disk and Resume (well start) the adventure.
