The game story from the manual :

In 199X, mankind was struck by a food crisis brought on by several years of abnormal weather. Countries throughout the world suffered alike, but the devastation was especially severe in Japan, which depended on imports for 90 percent of its food. In an effort to relieve the population's desperate hunger through the power of science, the government built a scientific city at the foot of Mt. Fuji, centered around BIAS, a genetic engineering research institute. But that dream vanished with the sudden outbreak of World War III.

In the ruins of what had once been the scientific city, only BIAS remained, towering lifelessly as it stared blankly up at the sky. Yet no one knew that, within the darkness of the sealed-off BIAS facility, a deranged computer was carrying out one random genetic experiment after another, while radiation leaking beyond the shielding was giving birth to grotesque monsters one after another. BIAS, once a symbol of mankind's power and scientific achievement, had now become a tower inhabited by demons...

The ultimate objective of the game is to locate and destroy the main computer that is still keeping BIAS operational. The BIAS tower has six floors, and the main computer you seek is probably located on the top floor.

199X年、数年にわたる異常気象による食料危機が人類を襲った。世界の国々がみな一 様に被害をうけていたが、とくに食料の９割を輸入品に頼っていた日本では、被害も 膨大であった。政府は国民の悲惨なまでの飢えを、科学の力で解消すべく、富士山麓 に遺伝子工学研究所BIASを中心とした科学都市を建設した。しかし、その夢も突如勃 発した第３次世界大戦により消えてしまった。廃墟と化したかつての科学都市には、 むなしく空をにらむBIASだけが死んだように静かにそびえ立っていた。しかし閉鎖さ れたBIASの暗闇の中では、狂ったコンピュータによるでたらめな遺伝子操作の繰り返 しと、シールドの外へ漏れだす放射線が、異様な怪物をつぎつぎに生みだしているこ とを知る者はいなかった。かつては人類の力と科学の象徴であったBIASは、いまは悪 魔の棲む塔と化していたのだ...。

ゲームの最終目的は、BIASをいまだに機能させているメインコンピュータを探し出し 破壊すること。BIASの塔は６階建てだが、おそらく目的のメインコンピュータは、そ の最上階にあるはずだ。
