Ok, I confirm dgVoodoo helps fixing that grass glitch I mentioned yesterday.
Below, the settings that worked for me:
on DirectX table I've just changed VRAM from 256 to 512 MB and checked flags on "Application controlled fullscreen/windowed state" and "Fast video memory access". Videocard is set to "dgVoodoo Virtual 3D Accelerated Card", filtering is set to "App driven", resolution to "Unforced" and Antialiasing (MSAA) to "Off";
on General table I only changed output API to "Direct3D 12 (feature level 11.0)" because they at dege's website recommend it for AMD card users (I have RX 580 8 GB 2048SP and I'm on Windows 10 Pro, btw; I didn't specify that in my previous post). And that's it.
I'll send you some screenshots of the game in which I show a brief game (conquer 3 cities) set in 1796 (despite on the campaign selection menu I clicked on 1815 for a second) as Prussia.

My brother one day bought a gaming magazine back in 2003 with 2 CDs. One was full of demos, among them was Ghost Master's demo. And disc B had this game (full version). I remember one day when he had to help me conquering France: I decided to play as England in 1815, but Imperial War mode, so it was an endless game and it took like the whole afternoon to complete, but in the end we made it!
I still have that CD, so I gave it a shot a few days ago, after like 18 years. But the CD was scratched and I was unable to install the game. The toothpaste method to fix it didn't work (CD will work well for a minute or two, then it hangs again), so I got it on Zoom for $ 5,99. Well, the game launches fine with no need of compatibility mode and runs smoothly. However, there are graphical artifacts on the grass while playing and Zoom has no forum to discuss it. Google shows no results about the problem. I think I will try dgVoodoo or DxWnd to see if those help.
