Download Ka-52 Team Alligator (Windows)

The game with dgVoodoo 2 and DSOAL has been tested on Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 10, it works fine. You may experience some small troubles when you play the game on modern systems, check our Guide and Notes for troubleshooting

Install & play guide:

• Mount the disc image with virtual drive utility, like WinCDEmu, UltraISO, Alcohol 52%/Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools Lite, etc.
• Install the game (if the installation doesn't start - launch Setup.exe in compatibility mode with Windows 95 or 98). It is recommended to install the game not in default path, but in some other, non-system folder, like C:/Games/Team Alligator, so you won't have troubles with fixes
• Optionally use NoCD if you want to play without the disc, simply replace Team2.exe in game folder
• After you installed the game, download DSOAL (DirectSound via OpenAL) utility, extract the archive and copy dsoal-aldrv.dll and dsound.dll files from DSOAL_r691/DSOAL/Win32 folder into game folder. It is required for the correct work of sound in game on modern systems. Also check the Notes below for other methods
• Then download dgVoodoo 2, extract the archive and copy the dll-files from the MS/x86 folder, dgVoodooCpl.exe and dgVoodoo.conf to the game folder, next to Team2.exe
• Open the game folder and find Team2.exe. Right click on Team2.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Set "Run this app in compatibility mode with Windows 98" and "Run as Administrator"
• Launch the game from Team2.exe and play. If the game doesn't work - try to use the other that dgVoodoo 2 display wrapper, check the Notes for details

Notes:

• If the installation doesn't start or the installer shows the error - run Setup.exe in compatibility mode with Windows 95 or 98. If it didn't help - use winevdm tool
• It is recommended to install all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and NET Framework for the correct work of the game. Also it is recommended to install K-Lite Codec Pack for the correct work of in-game videos
• The game works on DirectX 7, so if you're using Windows 8, 8.1, 10 or 11 - you need to enable DirectPlay: Go to Control Panel, and select 'Programs'. Select 'Turn Windows features on and off', click on 'Legacy Components' and check the box 'DirectPlay'. Select OK, once the installation is done, restart your computer
• It is highly recommended to use dgVoodoo 2 to run the game on modern systems, otherwise the game may have graphical glitches or other technical issues. You can also try to use the other display wrappers, such as DxWnd or DxWrapper. Here's the video examples how the game works with different display wrappers: with dgVoodoo 2, with DxWnd and with DxWrapper
• There was no official patches for Ka-52 Team Alligator, but the game received few unofficial patches some time after. Unofficial patch v1.02b was created by one of the original developers and improves the flight model in the game. Unofficial KA-52: Team Alligator Patch changes the flight model and improves controls (most importantly, it removes the huge joystick dead zone). Unfortunately, that patch doesn't work on 64-bit systems, so you will need to use the Virtual Machine with 16-bit or 32-bit Windows to install that patch, check this thread for details. We added the executable file of English version pre-patched with Unofficial KA-52: Team Alligator Patch in Downloads, so you could use it on 64-bit systems
• If you don't have sound in the game, here's few methods how to fix it. First method is to use DSOAL (DirectSound via OpenAL) utility - download it from GitHub, extract the archive and copy dsoal-aldrv.dll and dsound.dll files from DSOAL_r691/DSOAL/Win32 folder into game folder. Another method is to use Creative ALchemy Universal app - install the app, launch it and create the profile for "Ka-52 Team Alligator" game, in "Use Game Path" line type the path to the folder with installed game; save the profile and click on arrows to enable ALchemy in the game. If you have Realtek sound card, you can also use a similar app 3DSoundBack, you can download it here
• If you still don't have the sound in game, or the sounds are crackling - try to lock the framerate to 30 or 60 FPS in control panel of your video card or with one of framerate limiter utilities. If you play with dgVoodoo 2, you can enable Vsync in dgVoodoo Control Panel or set the FPS limit in dgVoodoo.conf file by editing FPSLimit line
• . The game doesn't have any DRM protection, only the simple disc check, so you can play the game with disc in virtual drive. If you want to play without the disc, you can use NoCD, simply replace Team2.exe in game folder. In case if NoCD from our website didn't work - try to use NoCD Patcher from GameCopyWorld to remove disc check (we didn't upload that patcher because it showed many generic warnings, here's the scan report)
• The game has controller support and can be played with joystick. There could be controlling issues if you have both the keyboard and joystick connected at the same time, make sure to set the controller settings in Options before starting the game. If the game doesn't recognize your controller - try using one of the additional tools from PCGamingWiki guide for controllers
• The game has multiplayer mode, playable through the Internet or LAN connection. However, there were reports that online multiplayer works with some latency, looks like it is the issue that wasn't fixed by developers. You can also try to emulate the LAN multiplayer with LAN emulators like Hamachi or RadminVPN, and play the multiplayer mode that way
• If you couldn't manage to run the game on modern system, you can also use the Virtual Machine with old Windows OS. The game has been tested on PCem + Windows 98 and VMWare + Windows XP, the game worked fine on both variants
