PS the patch isn't needed anymore for the floppy or whatever that is. You really don't need to use USB either.

OK forget my previous post... It's not playable in Win 7 nor 10... As mentioned before Shandalar and also Deck (building) does not work, the game just exits. After some playtestng of the Duel part that boots and seem to work at first it became quickly clear that loads of cards are broken. (for example land tax, Fireball), these spend the mana but have no effect whatsoever). So until I find a version out there that does work on more present day systems (slim chance that ever happens), it's back to vintage computing on a 'in time' machine for this one...

have the original bigboxes but wanted to play it again after all those years so i downed this version and hey it works on a windows 7 laptop and even on my windows 10 Pc. Thats the solo duel bit were You play against. Shandalar for one reason or another starts up ok (did not playtest it yet) but only in a small screen top left corner of the screen (that's why). Any fixes for this one is aware off ???

Does untapping paralyse work? Even when i put stop on upkeep phase, i do not get chance pay for untapping, the card is innactive.

the only card that doesn't play right when I play is Sorcerer Queen. The card says "Target creature IS 0/2 until end of turn". What happens is target creature gains +0/+2. Other than that, I love the game!

Got the game working alright. Does anyone know what to do when there are more than 5 creatures attacking in the combat window? The screen simply cuts them off so you can't even see them all, much less assign blockers. I can minimize & recall the window, but not see the far right side in when one side attacks after a large buildup.

you can buy cards just type y for yes and n for no when u click on what card u want

game may crash at start dont go into a town right away and check your deck instead do a battle or save game and come back into game should be better

Anyone else here having issue with "buying cards" in the game? I go to the towns and can get to the buying area but no way to purchase them. just thought I would ask. Still fun to play!

I've been trying to get it to work properly but no luck. I wish I could, I loved this damn game. Didn't think that I'd ever find it again. I can't figure out how to change the resolution and the most I get out of it is like 3-4 mins. As soon as I try to change the deck in Shandalar it crashes, but runs the deck editor standalone just fine.

Gonna start reading around and see what I can find. Any help is appreciated.

Note that the zipped folder for this game has NTFS encryption flags enabled. when you unzip it, your PC will encrypt the folder. It might be better to remove the encryption so that no user get's freaked out when their system starts recommending backing up encryption keys.

There was a bug/feature in this game, if you set up an auto-pause during the opponent's Upkeep step, you can tap *their* lands, then they can't do anything with them and they take mana burn. Just cheese your way through the whole game, if ya like!
