Looks like the game has issues on Nvidia video cards, it may crash or simply not launch at all. However, the game with NoCD and Run Fix by Lastofass works fine on Intel video cards, according to this thread
The game seems to work fine on Windows 8.1 or older, but may have issues on Windows 10 & 11. If you have troubles with running the game, try to use dgVoodoo 2 or some other display wrapper
The game was requiring online activation through official website. That website is closed now, you can use fixed launcher to activate the game by entering the serial key DDP2-KUXM-R2XL-58KM, check this thread for details. Or use the fix by Lastofass, with that fix you don't need to activate the game
The fix by Lastofass disables the activation system. To use it replace CyberBaseEnginePlugin.vPlugin file in game folder, then run the game directly from the exe-file (if you run from the desktop shortcut, the activation launcher will appear). Also, the archive includes Run Fix with pre-configured files from dgVoodoo 2, which should help with launching the game on modern systems
