The game should install & work fine on modern systems. To install the disc version, mount ISO image and run the installer, enter the serial key 1HG0-P867-TM0M-Y1MO or 183M-W208-R356-Y595. If the installer doesn't work, try to run it in Compatibility mode with old Windows OS. To play the game, run it in Compatibility mode with Windows XP or Vista. To install the patches, copy the update file by placing it in the appropriate folder in the game directory
After release of the sequel, Rising Star 2, the developers re-released the original game as freeware installer. That installer includes the latest version of the game v1.12. The installer is available here or on our website, use the serial key 183M-W208-R356-Y595 during installation.
