Updated instructions with my experience and previous comments 01/18/2026
1. Download ISO Version.
2. Mount downloaded file using a program OR Win11 is built in so just double click it and it will mount as a DVD drive.
3. Open “DVD Drive” file location once it is downloaded
4. Click Setup executable! Very important or patch program will not be able to find location(you will decide where to put the game at this point.)
5. Download Patch and Click to execute the patch(built in manager program)
6. Download NOCD Version. Open in file explorer.
7. In a second file explorer window open Gangland game folder(likely in local disk Program Files(x86) GangLand)
8. Delete the original “Gangland” file inside Gangland game folder.
9. Move NOCD gangland file into the original game folder. (replacing old executable with new NOCD)
10. Inside the game directory go to config folder, click on the system file, CHANGE only after "renderers\" and paste this rendererd3d.dll

1. Download the ISO version, mount it with a program (y used winCdemu, but aparently win11 aslo has a built in image mount, nice) let it install, 2. Donwload and then run the 1.4 patch.
3. Download the NOCD version for the patch, copy the archive and replace the one in the game directory (inside mediamobster folder is the gangland folder).
4. BEFORE RUNNING THE GAME IMPORTANT, inside the game directory go to config folder, click on the system file, CHANGE only after "renderers\" and paste this rendererd3d.dll
5. now the game should work enjoy.
BONUS: click on your character first and then you move with right click, it controls like age of empires lmao I lost 5 min trying to figure this out.

This is an install guide with the 1.4 patch.
Get an image installer (daemon tools) for the ISO file, download the patch, and the "NOCD For Version 1.4." After you have mounted the ISO file run the setup and pick a location where you would like to have the game installed. Once done, run the 1.4 patch and once that is complete, replace the gangland.exe with the "NOCD" gangland.exe and the game should run now.

Oke guys this comment is for all my late comers.... This game is the best game ever the graphics still stand out in 2025 maybe not next gen but still OP.
especially the multiplayer mode with 8 people on LAN bruh no other game beats this exploding buildings team work missions cars traitory.
Oke now to my point! if you have an issue with the screen resolution etc take the d3d8 from any game and copy paste it inside the gangland.exe directory trust me it will fix allot of issues allot!

Hi i managed to install the game and the patch, but unfortunately the graphic is a little bit choppy and not smooth. im runing the game in windows 10 with Nvidia Geforce 1080. i tried lowering the graphic and resolution but still not smooth.

managed to install it and install the patch, but when i either use the autorun on the ISO or click on the main exe to launch the game, it keeps asking me to restart the computer because the game finished installing. I guess i missed something somewhere... will chime in again once i figured out what i was doing wrong
Hey! i had the same issue i down loaded the patch unsure if it worked or not lel , but main thing i needed to swap the exe with another i did the no cd ver 1.4 located farther down this screen and it worked, and just checked the main screen by pushing the ~ key and it does say its 1.4 hope this helps any who come around to play this again :) and here i thought i was the only one looking for this game again after gog got rid of it
