This is a response to Joe Sparks' comment (If it is really him or his account posting his position on here).
I originally experienced Spaceship Warlock on a Mac, acquiring it from the dusty corners of a physical retailer out of sheer desperation for quality software in that ecosystem. It was an incredible achievement. However, your public stance here requires rigorous correction.
This IP is suffering from digital decay due to a catastrophic failure in corporate governance by its creators and definitely not due to piracy. You and Mike Saenz allowed petty financial disputes to plunge this game into an unresolved legal purgatory, rendering your own intellectual property commercially untouchable. I feel that archival hubs are not malicious vectors. In fact, they are the sole critical failsafes preventing your work from becoming total lost media while you abdicate your responsibility to resolve the chain-of-title.
If the underlying rights were cleanly consolidated and the software ported to a modern distribution framework like Steam, many fans (myself included) would gladly pay for a re-release just to experience that childhood nostalgia once in a while. Until you execute that operational fix, internet archivists remain the only entity keeping this legacy alive.

Do you know how hard it is to find a copy of spaceship warlock? If this was on steam I would have bought again. Instead, it rots voids of space.
Also the comment was in 2023 and is now 2025. The creator has done nothing about bringing this game back.

Joe Sparks, the site has done nothing but archived it in some form or another. If it hadn't been for this, your game may have been lost forever until someday you woke up and thought "Hmm maybe get this on the shelves again".
I understand you're protective of your creations, I understand your concerns, but this is and always was the new day and it was her for ages, I'm sure you know.

I own all the rights to Spaceship Warlock. I am one of the two original developers. I never abandoned my property, you simply pirated it (much like Captain Hammer would have done). It is sad that indy creators like myself can be steamrolled by pirates, but I have done nothing about my pirates so far, because at least they keep my creations alive. This is way it is for now, but a new day is coming.
