it installs fine, but then it wants to ensure that everything is up to date, and I can only press OK, and when I do I get a disc 4 error

hi. its installed succesfully however when i want to open the game, its asking me to insert CD Mansion and garden stuff. does anyone know what to do ?

guys, if youre getting the autorun blocked by an administrator, set the year on your computer's time& date back to the year this pack was released (2008) and the security certificate will be valid again, allowing you to run the program. you can return the time/date back to normal after you input the serial key and validate it.

To the people who get that red notif that the app is dangerous (i'm german so i dont know what it says in detail): go to the windows symbol and type " user account control ". a window shoul pop up with 4 different options: high to low security, select the lowest and click ok. Then in the windows searchbar type cmd, right click and open as the administrator. Wherever your .exe file is, you type that into the bar (e.g. it could C:\programs\...\Sims2\AutoRun.exe or if you're using the CD it could be E:\AutoRun.exe . Then hit enter and i should start. After that make sure to raise the security again!

I tried the Powershell method, but doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have a trick for making this work?

The certificate used to sign the installer has been revoked by the issuer, so Windows won't let you run it in the normal way. You can, as of this writing, run it through powershell without any trouble.
"cd C:\Path\To\Installer"
".\autorun.exe"

The autorun doesn't work! It gives the prompt "This app has been blocked for your protection" and won't let me install. Very sad, I wanted to play
