These games were my favourite genre back In the 1980's - I filled many a page of squared paper with this and similar games, drawing maps (complete with little pictures and little reminders) which made them a lot easier to follow and keep up with, particularly after having to restart after the inevitable disasters, and almost made 'saves' redundant. Some of my efforts were quite artistic, if I may be so bold! 'Warlord' In particular Is a game much enhanced by using 'pencil & paper' and makes progress so much easier, especially when needing to retrace your steps, as Is often the case. Perhaps not one of the best of It's kind, Warlord Is nevertheless worth a try for fans of this genre.
