Very good chess program. This is really just Fritz 4. It is designed for Windows 3, unlike Fritz 1-3 which were for DOS. It was followed up by Fritz 5, which is just an incremental evolution of Fritz 4, as well as 32 bit builds. Fritz 6 introduced a major overhaul of the UI, which has only seen (many) minor incremental changes since then.
I have not seen any Fritz/Chessbase branded versions of Fritz 4 in circulation, so I am not sure if Extreme Chess is the only Fritz 4 around.
