GP Classic Racing (aka Golden Age of Racing, Золотой век автогонок) is a video game published in 2006 on Windows by Midas Interactive Entertainment Ltd., City Interactive S.A.. It's a racing / driving game, set in an automobile and track racing themes.

- Setup file is extracted from original Midas Interactive edition iso - installs the game only, doesn't installs/updates DirectX, recommended way to install the game
- Alternatively, the full Midas Interactive edition iso - it may install/update DirectX in addition to game installation
- Also the iso from City Interactive edition - NOT recommended, force installs/updates DirectX without user consent
- Controller fix for Windows Vista and newer - same as the one mentioned in the comments on My Abandonware page for IndyCar Series (another game from the same developer)
- Full save, all cars and tracks unlocked - Golden Age of Racing is a bit tedious to beat, so this is for people who want everything unlocked instantly

A game I spent my childhood playing. Essentially its the "Golden Age of Racing" anything from the 1960s. Fast, fun, open wheeled. The tracks can get boring and I don't believe a racing wheel works well with this program. Played circa 2008 (PC) via a demo then found a disc for Playstation 2. If you want to relive the days of Mario Andretti, this is the game to play.

Grand Prix Legends - basically the same thing but harder
Spirit of Speed 1937 - Really hard to find a decent patch to make this handle modern hardware. But if you get it working, you are rewarded with pre war racing. I had lots of fun with this. Its jank has become its charm.
GT Legends - The very first racing game I ever bought with my own money. Its more touring cars from the 1960s -1970s but remains one of the best racing sims imo. It was THE game that got me into classic cars.
