Orion Burger
DOS - 1996
Description of Orion Burger
Sanctuary Wood's last game before disbanding is a fun cartoon adventure with a zany plot: Orion Burger, a galactic fast food joint, has selected Earth as its next target for "protein procurement" that will wipe all sentient life.
As hapless hero, you must take tests to prove that intelligent life exists on earth to avert certain destruction. If you fail, you will be mercifully sent back in time before you were abducted. Being caught in a time-loop adds a neat dimension to the game, since you can solve puzzles by trial-and-error without the penalty of death. Time limit spoils the fun, however, and puzzle solutions are too obscure.

It sadly lacks the subtitles. I need them in games. Maybe someone will add them at some point, I don't know. But before that happens, this will remain unplayable for me. No text - no go.

Orion Burger is such underrated game, funny, cartoony and definitely feels like something Lucas Arts could make. also has big name voice actors attached to it like Rob Paulsen, Jim Cummings and Dee Bradley Baker.
this game unfortunately is one of the few that is still not supported in ScummVM. which means it only works with DOSbox, and i finally got it to work!!! but there a catch, a very frustraing catch. the game itself come with a stupid "Laserlok Copy Protection", to bypass that, you have to download "dos32a exe" (alternative hack program that bypass the copy protection) and put in the game folder. thankfully most of the download links for "Orion Burger" that i found comes pre-installed with DOSBox and along with the "dos32a" hack in mind, but its still need to be setup.
i usually write a separate Dosbox cfg for each game (there's a tutorial how to setup single game for dosbox without doing it manually directly from dosbox, just with the use of cfg, which is much easier and less complicated)
when setting up the cd/starting the game for Orion burger this should look somthing like this:
imgmount d "C:\games\Orion Burger\burger\cd\dburger.cue" -t cdrom
mount c "C:\games\Orion Burger\burger
c:
dos32a burger.exe -c
then the game will work fine!
i hope this helps to who ever wants to play this game
enjoy!

Is there a way to use the general midi sound? There is an option for it but it uses only sound blaster for music. The same with the Touche. There is no music when i choose roland or general midi. Only with sound blaster.
